(ECO)LOGICAL CONNECTION THROUGH THE WESTLAND
The Poelzone project combines nature development, water storage, new recreational route structures, large-scale relocation of homes and the restructuring of greenhouse horticulture. With a joint investment of more than € 40 million, central government, province, municipality, water board, greenhouse horticulture sector, region and developers worked together on this challenge.
Before BLOC, Petrus Postma supervised the entire development of the Poelzone project. From 2009 to 2011 he worked on the business case, coalition formation and investment decisions. From 2012 to 2014, Peter supervised the preparation of the project. From design and technical estimates to land acquisition, coalition management and political embedding. Implementation was central from 2014 to 2016. In that phase, BLOC focused on quality and cost control, from civilian implementation to municipal management. The project was delivered in 2016. Within the planning and within the budget.
