From the spring of 2022 the 7th Floriade World Horticultural Expo in the Netherlands will take place in Almere, Floriade Expo 2022. With the theme ‘Growing Green Cities’ the Expo will focus for 6 months on the Green City of the Future and the related issues of climate change, energy and above all food production. The Expo will be an extraordinary event where visitors will have a unique experience.
A radical approach to mobility
A groundbreaking event requires a radical mobility plan. That is why BLOC, together with the Floriade Expo 2022 B.V., has developed a strategy for an extremely sustainable, testable and measurable mobility concept that is an international showcase for Growing Green Cities. The approach minimizes the amount of CO2 and nitrogen emissions by fully utilizing emission-free modalities and by compensating any modalities that cause emissions in such a way that the overall deposition is neutral or even negative. Together with a number of natural partners (including governments and providers of public transport and smart mobility) this concept must be converted into concrete mobility solutions. The Floriade Expo 2022 B.V. and BLOC are working on this together.
The Floriade will showcase how you can make an event as emission-free, sustainable and future-proof as possible.
