Mobility

Future-proof urban development is not possible without an integrated and sustainable transport and mobility concept. The user plays a central role in this.

Mobility is often the final part of urban development or has a separate planning and implementation process. BLOC strives to connect concepts for building and area development and to integrate them with the requested mobility. And vice-versa!

How we look at mobility

Cities are growing, the composition of the population is changing, technological possibilities are growing exponentially, and the sharing economy is increasingly emerging. The traffic pressure on our infrastructure continues to increase, but the pressure on the use of space is also increasing: more and more interests ‘compete’ for the same square meter. Thus, there is a maximum to the construction of new infrastructure. However, it is not yet known where exactly that maximum lies and therefore, we need new solutions.

Within this context BLOC develops new mobility concepts and establishes connections between cities and between the city and the surrounding region.

When developing mobility solutions, we look at combinations of innovative and sustainable means of transport, which we realize together with public and private stakeholders for different user groups. We work on supported and feasible total concepts that are based on a healthy business and financing model. We always work on mobility as part of a larger spatial whole.

We always work on mobility as part of a larger spatial whole, so that it connects and accelerates, literally and figuratively.

Transportation is an integral part of your day. That is why we approach like that in our projects.

What we build to accelerate projects:

Mobility concept: We develop, where possible in conjunction with a broader area vision, a total concept for all transport flows. We can do this in a smaller version in a few days or as an extensive process.

Business case: We visualize all the financial aspects of a particular solution, so that sound decisions can be made.

Feasibility study: We map out all the practical parts of the implementation of a particular system.

Implementation: We guide the execution, implementation and financing of a solution or a system of multiple solutions.

Development: As a risk-bearing party, we organize a total solution for the transport demand in an area.
